Care
Washing
Wash the board by hand with warm water and mild soap. Rinse and dry immediately with a clean cloth. Never submerge in water or place in the dishwasher.

Hydratation
Once the board is completely dry, apply a thin layer of Humble Artisan wood butter. Spread it evenly with a clean cloth, then let it absorb. Always keep the board well hydrated: this is better for your knives, helps the wood absorb fewer liquids and odors, and prevents the board from cupping.
If the board ever cups (the surface takes on a U shape), apply wood butter to the concave side. After a few days, the board should rehydrate and return to its normal, flat shape.

Scratches
All Humble Artisan wooden products can be maintained and restored using Humble Artisan Wood Butter. Regular hydration helps protect the wood, preserve its appearance, and extend its lifespan. Wood Butter nourishes the wood fibers, improves resistance to moisture and odors, and helps prevent warping.
If a product shows signs of scratches or drying, applying Wood Butter will greatly reduce the appearance of scratches while rehydrating the wood.

Drying
After washing, dry the board immediately with a clean, dry cloth. Then place it on its edge or in a vertical position so it can drain properly and dry evenly, without one surface remaining wet longer than the other. Avoid any heat source.

Storage
Cutting board
Store the board in a dry place, away from humidity and temperature changes. Ideally, place it so that no surface is more exposed to air than the other, allowing it to dry and be preserved evenly.

Epoxy serving board
For epoxy serving boards, it is best to always keep them on a flat surface and avoid hot areas, in order to preserve the epoxy and prevent any warping.
